The
vision of percussive sounds and orchestral percussion. In 1984 a drum ensemble
started out involving Pierre Favre as well as Paul Motian, Nana Vasoncelos,
and Fredy Studer.
Today’s line-up includes Pierre Favre, Lucas Niggli
on percussion, plus Philipp Schaufelberger, Michael Godard and Roberto Ottaviano
on saxophone, guitar and tuba. Musically, the two percussionists create
a rhythmic landscape in which the other instruments operate with melodic
finesse.
